One of the important pilgrim destination for Hindus in the Himalayas. Situated at a height of over 11000 ft. above sea level, you have to trek for about 3 hours from the road head at Chopta.

Padamvir Singh

I am 70 years old now. I began painting water colours and oils while at The Doon School, Dehradun, India, under the guidance of Rathin Mitra. Rathin did excellent linework and has sketched most of the significant monuments of Calcutta and also many other national monuments, cities, towns and landscapes. While in college in the early 70s I discovered the artist in me, when I began sketching with a passionate frenzy. That is the time I broke out of traditional forms and discovered Picasso and his contemporaries. Around this time I created a large number of watercolour landscapes with quick brush strokes creating patterns and colours that fascinated me.
